Burns are an injury due to thermal, chemical,
electrical shock or electromagnetic energy . Commonly burn cause of adults is
an open flame. Infants and elderly are
at the highest risk for burn injury as well as house holding women. Severe
Burns especially second & third degree burns often require emergency
medical care.
Burns Classification
Burns are classified as under:

Degree
2. Second
Degree
3. Third
Degree
It depends on the depth and severity of the penetration to the skin’s surface
First Degree:
The First Degree burns affect only the outer skin of
the body, the epidermins. The burn area parts of the body becomes red, painful,
dry and with no blisters, for example: Mild Sunburn. Long Term Tissue damage is
rare and usually consists of change of skin color.
There are many types of Burn:
A burn injury commonly is results from an energy
transfer to the body.
