What is hair transplant?
It is a
procedure in which hair follicles are taken from donor area which is usually
posterior scalp and implanted on recipient bald area.

2)FUE
1)FUT:
In this technique a
strip of hair bearing posterior scalp is taken surgically and donor area stitched.
Advantages:
Safe technique to harvest follicles.
More amount of follicles is taken without damaging follicles roots
Disadvantages:
Scar mark
on donor site
Time
consuming
Pain
Prolong
recovery
2)FUE:
In this technique each
hair follicle harvested by a punch and then transplanted.
Advantages:
Less
pain
Early recovery
Less prominent scars
Disadvantages:
Less
number of grafts harvested comparative to other technique
Hair follicles are prone to damage during the harvest
Procedure time
It is
usually 6 to 8 hours’ procedure
Anesthesia:
It is
done under local anesthesia
Things to know about
hair transplant
1) head will be shaved
before procedure
2) it is done under
local anesthesia. comfortable procedure
3) it's a lengthy
procedure but patient can take break for washroom, snack etc.
4)Pre-Op evaluation is
necessary for hair transplant and medical health evaluation
5) initially all hair
will fall then hair growth will start at 3 months.
6)final result will
take 12 to 18 months’ time
